The Department of Chemical Engineering offers a Master’s of Science degree in petroleum engineering. The program is structured between on campus courses as well as onsite design & development work. As the focus of this degree is on the working engineer, the program is offered in a hybrid model with courses offered both online as well as classroom formats. However all students will need to submit to a resident on site field review in order to qualify for the degree.
The department has an Energy & Geoscience Institute which is a consortium of over sixty corporate sponsors in the field representing nearly twenty countries. The focus is on challenging research in the field of hydrocarbon extraction & production and offers unique exposure to prospective students.
